Tribal Tassel Belt Making 101

A Tribal tassel belt is an important embellishment to the tribal costume. Known as the tribal belt, dowry belt, or tassel belt, this style of belt is one of the hallmarks of the tribal style. While other Middle Eastern costumes feature matched sets of bras and belts. The tribal style is composed of related parts that don't necessarily match. With this in mind the tassel belt can be created using the materials you have available. While many tribal belts give a similar flavor or feel almost no 2 are alike. This is due to the distinctive use of one of a kind of tribal textiles and jewelry pieces. Consequently, the material selected for the belt will dictate the final look.  Basic materials and instruction packets provided for making a tassel belt base. Bring your own scissors, glue gun, or favorite embellishments if available.  Light refreshments provided.
