Rhythms of the Dance - Khartals & Manjeras Music Class (Hand Instruments) 1 Hour
Learn Rajasthani rhythms of the dance by learning how to play the Manjeras & Khartals. Manjeras are cymbals that similar to fingers cymbals. Khartal literally means rhythm played by 4 pieces of wood. They sound similar to castanets. We will split our time learning both with folk musicians from Rajasthan. Then we will play a juggalbundi (call and response between Dholak (drum) and Khartal and Manjeras. (Khartal and/or Manjera are available for sale $40.00 per set of $65 for both)
